Eating God configuration, Hurting Officer configuration — Output configurations
Eating God configuration: Eating God is the configuration spirit, governing peaceful expression and blessing-longevity. Prefers Wealth (Eating God generates Wealth) and a strong Day Master. Taboos: Vulture Seal seizing Eating God. Hurting Officer configuration: Hurting Officer is the configuration spirit, governing brilliant talent and innovative edge. “Hurting Officer adorned with Seal” is one of the great noble configurations; “Hurting Officer seeing Authority” is a broken configuration.
Establishing Prosperity configuration, Blade configuration — Peer configurations
Establishing Prosperity configuration (Peer configuration): the seasonal commander is the Day Master’s official-prosperity position (prosperity ground), making the configuration. Indicates a strong Day Master, capable of independence, and prefers Authority, Kill, Eating God, and Wealth. Blade configuration: the seasonal commander is the Day Master’s imperial-prosperity position (yang stem’s blade), making the configuration — indicates a fierce temperament and power, and most taboos seeing Seven Kill without control.
Special configurations
Following configuration: the Day Master is extremely weak without a root, abandoning the Day Master to “follow” the life configuration’s prosperous spirit. Transformed Energy configuration: the day stem and another stem combine into one of the Five Elements, and the life configuration is discussed based on the transformed energy’s Five Elements. Specialized Prosperity configuration: one of the Five Elements holds overwhelming dominance, forming the image of “Straight (Wood),” “Blazing (Fire),” “Harvesting (Earth),” “Following Change (Metal),” or “Moistening Downward (Water).”

The configuration spirit is the main theme of the native’s temperament. In a male’s Authority or Kill configuration, Wealth generating Authority is favorable — the wife aids the husband’s career. Life level
“The configuration determines the level of one’s destiny” is only half true — more precisely, success or failure of the configuration determines the level. A life with a successful configuration, even if not greatly wealthy or noble, has its stability and dignity; a life with a broken configuration, even with temporary ups and downs, cannot sustain them. A Hurting Officer configuration, if adorned with Seal or encountering Wealth, can be greatly noble; a Proper Authority configuration, if wounded or lacking Seal, can be mediocre. What determines level is not the name, but whether the configuration “succeeds.”

What if a chart has no clear configuration?
This does happen — when the seasonal commander’s primary and secondary energies do not emerge, or when the chart’s energy is extreme. In such cases, several paths exist: first, a “Following configuration” (the Day Master is extremely weak and follows the prevailing energy); second, a “Transformed Energy configuration” (the day stem combines with another stem into a different Five Element); third, a “Specialized Prosperity configuration” (one Five Element is extremely prosperous and forms a unique image).
